Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى استيضاح صورة نبي الإسلام محمد -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عند الأديب الأمريكي واشنطن إرفينغ من خلال كتابه ( محمد وخلفاؤه)، وكيف كان لمصادر المؤلف المختلفة ومرجعياته المتنوعة بين العربية والغربية دورا في تشكيل هذه الصورة، إضافة إلى رؤيته الخاصة والمستقلة. Abstract: This research aims to clarify the image of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) through the book of the American writer Washington Irving "Muhammad and his successors", and how the author's various sources and his various references between Arabic ones and Western ones played a role in shaping this image, in addition to his own and independent vision.
